The Q3 2026 release of the Toponomical dataset is now available to all API users and enterprise licensees.
What changed
- Expanded state/province coverage: 2,730 admin-1 regions now carry translations in all 22 languages.
- Confidence-score adjustments in Thai, Urdu, and Bengali following a new source cross-reference pass.
- Corrected transliterations for several Japanese prefectures.
Enterprise licensees can download the refreshed SQLite build from their delivery channel; API responses serve the new data automatically. As always, the release is versioned. Pin the previous version if you need time to validate.
